Last Post: Dubai

I took advantage of the Emirates Dubai Connect service. If you have a long layover in Dubai, you automatically qualify for a free hotel stay. The deal includes transportation to your hotel as well as free meals at the hotel. I ended up staying at the Copthorne hotel which was very nice. I had a few hours to explore the city (mostly driving around) and checked out a gold souk (market). Despite the amazing architecture, the city itself was quite boring compared to chaotic India. I'd recommend stopping by if you can use the Dubai Connect service, but I'm not sure if Dubai is a worthwhile destination on its own.
